Responsibilities

  1. Work as part of the support team delivering high‑quality care and support to individuals within the Kirkcaldy area.
  2. Support people experiencing long‑term homelessness in Hunter House accommodation to build tenancy skills and maintain settled accommodation.
  3. Act as part of the assertive outreach team – including driving and transporting service users to activities, with mileage reimbursed at 55p per mile.
  4. Understand and support the day‑to‑day living challenges of service users, including homelessness, addictions, substance misuse and mental health issues.

Qualities & Qualifications

  • High empathy, tolerance and a sense of humour.
  • Passion, drive and dedication to helping others live fulfilling lives.
  • Experience of Support and Care, preferably in a homelessness setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Flexible availability – able to work shifts, evenings and weekends.
  • Current driving licence and ability to use a car for work (desirable but not essential).
  • Will pass a PVG Disclosure check.
