About us: Kingdom Support and Care (KSC) provide high quality and personalised support and care for over 300 individuals across Fife and Forth Valley. We work with our Supported Individuals to manage and overcome challenges, including age-related issues, alcohol and drug addictions, autism spectrum disorders, complex needs, homelessness, learning disabilities and mental health issues. We work with people in their own homes, assisting them to do the things that matter to them and realise their ambitions. We believe that great support leads to great lives.
About you: We are looking for compassionate, kind, and invested female support workers who are passionate about helping people to live their best lives. If you are resilient, have a can-do approach and a great sense of humour you will be off to a great start to be a great fit for this service. It is more important to us that you have the right values, characteristics and share our vision of providing excellent support. We require flexibility in your approach to work, and it is essential you are able to work shifts which will include alternative weekend working, evenings and sleepovers, with some allocated office time within your rota. You should have two years’ experience in a Support and Care setting and knowledge/experience of supporting people.
About the Role: In this role you will play a key part in providing support to our supportive individuals across Rosyth service. Within the Rosyth Service, specifically, a diverse range of support and guidance is provided to individuals, from children to elderly adults from 24/7 care to a few hours of support each week and anything in between. The children's support provided is activity based for respite whereas most of the adult support is to promote independent living by assisting with everyday activities such as cooking, housework, financials, social activities and as emotional support, assisting with personal care and administering medication. Whilst the role can be challenging, it offers excellent job satisfaction due to the value of the support you provide. Our role is to support and develop these individuals to allow them to live as independently as possible within the community. The service and support we provide is person-centred support which is co-produced with individuals ensuring their needs, choices, goals and aspirations are valued.
Requirements: A current driving licence, business insurance and the use of a car for work purposes is essential. Experience of supporting people in their own homes is desirable but not essential. This post is subject to a PVG Disclosure check.
