We are seeking an organised, proactive, and compassionate Domiciliary Care Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the day‑to‑day coordination of our community care services. This position is central to ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will act as a key link between service users, care staff, families, and external professionals. You will be responsible for coordinating care packages, managing staff rotas, responding to changing needs, and supporting compliance with policies and care standards. Essential Criteria
- Minimum NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and mandatory training
- Experience working in domiciliary care, home care, or a related health and social care setting
- Experience of coordinating staff rotas or care packages
- Experience of working with service users with varying needs (e.g. older people, learning disabilities, physical disabilities)
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule domiciliary care services to meet the assessed needs of service users
- Allocate care workers appropriately, ensuring continuity of care where possible
- Ensure care packages are delivered in line with individual care plans, risk assessments, and support plans
- Monitor service delivery to ensure high standards of care and responsiveness to changing needs
- Cover runs, calls, sits as necessary to ensure full service provision and zero missed calls
- Manage daily and weekly rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels and cover for sickness, holidays and emergencies
- Act as a first point of contact for care staff regarding rota changes, service user concerns and operational issues
- Support care workers through supervision, guidance and ongoing communication
- Assist with induction, mentoring and monitoring of new staff
- Participate in on‑call or out‑of‑hours cover as required
- When on‑call, provide emergency cover to service users if required
- Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role to support service delivery
