As a Senior Technical Artist on this Unannounced Project, you will help define how our visual ambitions become performant, polished, in‑engine experiences. You will work closely with artists, designers, engineers, and production to turn concepts, mockups, and visual targets into scalable Unity implementations. This role sits at the intersection of art and engineering: part visual problem solver, part pipeline builder, part hands‑on implementer. We are looking for someone who can raise the quality of the game’s visuals while helping the team move faster. You should be comfortable working directly in Unity, building shaders and materials, improving workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and supporting content creators with practical, production‑ready solutions. This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who leads by example, communicates well across crafts, and helps the team make strong technical and artistic decisions.
Your role within our Kingdom:
- Turn concepts and visual targets into polished, performant in‑engine experiences
- Build and support shaders, materials, VFX, lighting, and visual systems in Unity
- Improve pipelines, workflows, tooling, and content integration across disciplines
- Partner with artists, designers, engineers, and production teams to solve visual and technical challenges
- Help define best practices for scalable, performance‑aware content creation
- Mentor teammates and support knowledge sharing across technical art workflows
Skills To Create The Thrills:
You are curious, collaborative, and technically minded, with experience translating visual direction into practical in‑engine solutions. You enjoy solving visual and workflow challenges, improving how teams create content, and balancing quality with performance. We are looking for experience with:
- Technical art workflows in game development and hands‑on Unity development
- Shaders, rendering workflows, lighting, optimization, and performance‑aware content creation
- Asset pipelines, tooling, scripting, or workflow automation in Unity or DCC tools such as Blender, Maya, or Houdini
- Cross‑disciplinary collaboration
- A proactive mindset and the confidence to take ownership of ambiguous technical art problems
Bonus Skills:
- C# scripting, tooling, or editor extensions in Unity
- Mobile game development and performance optimization
- Procedural workflows, VFX Graph, Shader Graph, rigging, animation systems, or customization pipelines
- Profiling, import pipelines, validators, automation tools, or version control systems such as Git or Perforce
- Mentorship experience or experience helping define technical art standards for a team
