Role Overview
As a Research Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting advertising insights. You will be helping our clients and internal stakeholders understand media behaviors, player engagement, consumer habits, and advertising sentiment across our gaming portfolio. Working within the Advertising Insights team, you will assist in custom research, create stories around insights, and develop materials that demonstrate the value of advertising with Activision Blizzard Media.
The hybrid-working role is based in New York City, NY or London, UK as part of a broader team that spans the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Insights Development: Pull and translate data findings into clear, actionable insights that help shape marketing narratives, client RFPs, and product recommendations.
- Research Project Support: Assist in custom research initiatives aimed at deepening the media industry’s understanding of gamers and informing the business’ ad product strategy. This support will include vendor management and cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product, sales, and data science teams.
- Sales Enablement: Provide insights support to strengthen client relationships and drive direct advertising revenue in partnership with the internal sales and marketing teams.
Skills & Attributes
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years in research, data analysis, or measurement; domain knowledge in advertising or gaming-related research a plus.
- Technical proficiencies:
- Competence in Excel and Powerpoint required
- Familiarity with audience insights tools (e.g., MRI-Simmons, GlobalWebIndex, comScore) preferred
- Experience with SPSS, SQL, R, Python, or data visualization tools a plus
- Data analysis: Comfortable analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data, preferably with experience in statistical methods.
- Insight Storytelling: Ability to turn data into actionable insights and weave insights into narratives that the sales team can take to advertisers.
- Research skills: Familiarity with quantitative and/or qualitative methodologies, research design, questionnaire development, survey programming, monitoring data collection and response rates, etc.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $55,800.00 – $103,230.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location.
