We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded Senior Principal Analyst to join King Central Analytics. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on driving better business outcomes across some of King’s most commercially important and analytically complex areas. You will build a deep understanding of priority business areas, diagnose performance drivers, and identify opportunities to improve growth, efficiency and decision-making. Combining game data, player insight, market context and commercial understanding, you will develop clear recommendations for King leadership going beyond explaining what has happened: you will shape what should happen next.

Responsibilities

  • Build deep commercial understanding of priority business areas, diagnose performance drivers, and identify analytical work that can improve business outcomes.
  • Identify and shape high-impact projects that address growth opportunities, performance risks, monetization challenges, player behaviour shifts or operational inefficiencies.
  • Translate diagnosis into clear recommendations, decision options and action plans, making trade‑offs, risks, scenarios and expected impact clear for senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with business leaders, embedded analytics teams, product, finance, marketing and strategy to move from analysis to action.
  • Define, challenge and improve KPI frameworks used to assess business health, growth, monetization, player behaviour and operational performance.
  • Lead analytical input into key performance forums, including S&OP, KTR, Quarterly Reviews and OKRs, ensuring these forums drive decisions and follow‑through.
  • Raise the analytical standard across Central Analytics by coaching others on business diagnosis, commercial reasoning, storytelling and stakeholder influence.

Skills to Create Thrills

  • You are a highly analytical, commercially sharp problem solver who can operate confidently in ambiguity.
  • You are not satisfied with describing performance; you want to understand the underlying drivers and help the business act on them.
  • Outcome oriented: You focus analytical effort on work that can change decisions, priorities or commercial results.
  • Strategic problem solver: You can break broad business problems into hypotheses, identify root causes, and turn complex analysis into practical recommendations.
  • Commercial acumen: You understand how player behaviour, product performance, monetization, marketing, portfolio choices and financial outcomes connect.
  • Influential partner: You build trusted relationships, challenge constructively, and work effectively with embedded analytics teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ownership and delivery: You are comfortable shaping your own roadmap and pushing work through ambiguity toward impact.

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience in analytics, business performance, product analytics, strategy analytics or a similar commercial role.
  • Evidence of senior stakeholder influence, high-quality business diagnosis, and projects that delivered measurable commercial impact matters more than the exact number of years.
  • Experience identifying and shaping projects that delivered measurable business impact.
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and supporting high‑stakes commercial decisions.
  • Strong ability to diagnose business performance by connecting product, player, marketing, financial and market signals.
  • Strong SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Practical knowledge of KPI design, performance diagnosis, forecasting, experimentation and/or causal analysis.
  • Strong data visualisation and storytelling skills, with the judgement to choose the simplest effective format for the audience.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in mobile gaming, digital entertainment, e‑commerce, subscriptions, digital advertising or another fast‑moving consumer digital business.
  • Experience partnering with commercially significant or strategically sensitive business areas or working with company‑level planning processes such as S&OP, quarterly reviews or OKRs.
  • Experience using tools such as Python, R, advanced Excel / Sheets and BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with BigQuery, Looker, scenario planning, LTV, retention, monetization, ROAS or portfolio performance frameworks.
