About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced freelance Production Manager to join King & Tuckfield in London. Reporting directly to the Founder and Creative Director, this on-site role is pivotal in managing the production process from pre-production (post-sampling) to factory handovers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production management, including clear handovers to factories.
- Prepare and manage BOMs (Bills of Materials).
- Coordinate material ordering, price negotiation, shipping, and tracking.
- Issue bulk production POs and tech packs in a clear way that allows for no misunderstandings with the factories and create cut-sheets if necessary.
- Follow up on cutting to dockets and in-line quality control to mitigate risks.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards before packing.
- Schedule and prioritize tasks effectively to meet production timelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in production within the luxury fashion sector, with expertise in knitwear, jersey, and tailoring.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and production techniques, with a proven experience in Pattern Cutting to assist with a seamless transition from sampling to pre-production.
- Software Proficiency: Expert in tech-pack management (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Zedonk (BOMs, consumptions, orders, reports).
- Production Practices: Skilled in cost control, responsible sourcing, and sustainable production practices.
- Additional Requirements: Valid UK driving license; UK-based candidates only.

- We currently work with one factory in London (all wovens) and one factory abroad (all knitwear) only.
- Office is currently in our shop in Central London.
- We run on two seasons per year (AW and SS), with special drops and repeats for the shop.
