Purpose of the Role
KPI seeks a highly capable, charismatic performance coach to deliver high-quality strength & conditioning and rehabilitation services, manage online athlete support, assist with operations, and contribute to business growth. This is a hybrid role blending in-person coaching, rehabilitation/return-to-play support, athlete management, organisational support, and brand representation. This hire will be instrumental as KPI continues its expansion into more sports, worldwide delivery, and consulting services.

Key Responsibilities
- Coaching (50%)
- Conduct athlete assessments, performance testing, monitoring and progress tracking
- Individualised programme design aligned with sporting and club requirements
- Design and deliver in-person training sessions for athletes (various sports)
- Contribute to gym- and field-based delivery of services
- Provide rehabilitation support for injured athletes, alongside medical professionals
- Online Support (25%)
- Schedule periodised training programmes across micro, meso and macrocycles in coordination with club / team / sport commitments
- Monitor training prescription with our in-house athlete management system
- Communicate regularly with clients and key stakeholders
- Deliver education across multiple platforms to a diverse range of individuals
- Operations & Admin Support (25%)
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of staff members
- Explore and support growth into new sports, populations and business avenues
- Support projects and initiatives relating to current or prospective avenues
- Represent KPI at external events, visits and workshops
- Capture, handle and produce key content for educational and marketing purposes
- Contribute to the general upkeep of the business premises
Essentials list
- Master’s (MSc) level degree in Sports Science / Strength and Conditioning (or equivalent)
- 5+ years sports science / strength and conditioning coaching experience
- Knowledge of rehabilitation/return-to-play (or strong willingness to develop quickly)
- Employment history in competitive sports organisations
- Strong scientific research background and underpinning
- Personally healthy, active, and well-being conscious
- Computer, data, and sports technology literate
- Experience working with both adult and youth athletes
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills with a charismatic personality
- Strong work ethic – passionate, punctual, reliable, professional, and enthusiastic
- CRB / DBS checked
- First Aid certificate
- Full U.K. driving licence or ability to travel to and from KPI’s premises
Desirables list
- Doctorate level degree / working towards in Sports Science (or equivalent)
- Experience working in professional football organisations
- Experience working in private / external sports performance fields
- UKSCA / ASCA / NSCA accreditation
- Experience managing a group of staff
