Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations across all M&E projects, ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, implement best practices in project planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives, drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Team Management: Lead and mentor Project Managers, Engineers, and support staff, foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, represent the company in high-level meetings and negotiations.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health & safety regulations, quality standards, and industry codes, oversee audits and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, identify opportunities for cost savings and margin improvement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven track record in senior operations leadership within the M&E or building services sector.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, project delivery, and construction processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Commercial acumen with experience in budget management and P&L responsibility.
- Familiarity with UK building regulations, CDM, and health & safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across different regions.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSCS Managers Card, SMSTS, IOSH/NEBOSH) desirable.
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in M&E project delivery, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
