We’re looking for a Mechanical QA/QC Lead to join King & Moffatt Building Services and play a key role in driving quality, compliance, and successful project handover across our mechanical installations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical QA/QC professional who is passionate about quality standards, commissioning, inspections, and delivering projects right first time.

What you’ll be doing
- Leading QA/QC activities across mechanical building services projects.
- Carrying out site inspections and quality audits across installations.
- Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications, drawings, and company standards.
- Managing mechanical inspection test plans (ITPs), QA checklists, and quality records.
- Supporting compilation and review of mechanical test packs and commissioning documentation.
- Managing and tracking NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and close-out actions.
- Coordinating snagging activities and ensuring timely resolution of defects.
- Supporting mechanical commissioning and handover activities.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams, and subcontractors.
- Maintaining accurate QA documentation using digital QA platforms.
- Supporting client inspections, audits, and quality meetings.
- Promoting a strong culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across projects.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a Mechanical QA/QC, Mechanical Engineer, or Quality role within Building Services / M&E.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installations, and commissioning processes.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or Data Centre projects desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and handover documentation.
- Full driving licence desirable.
