Mechanical QAQC Lead in Galway

We’re looking for a Mechanical QA/QC Lead to join King & Moffatt Building Services and play a key role in driving quality, compliance, and successful project handover across our mechanical installations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical QA/QC professional who is passionate about quality standards, commissioning, inspections, and delivering projects right first time.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading QA/QC activities across mechanical building services projects.
• Carrying out site inspections and quality audits across installations.
• Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications, drawings, and company standards.
• Managing mechanical inspection test plans (ITPs), QA checklists, and quality records.
• Supporting compilation and review of mechanical test packs and commissioning documentation.
• Managing and tracking NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and close-out actions.
• Coordinating snagging activities and ensuring timely resolution of defects.
• Supporting mechanical commissioning and handover activities.
• Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams, and subcontractors.
• Maintaining accurate QA documentation using digital QA platforms.
• Supporting client inspections, audits, and quality meetings.
• Promoting a strong culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a Mechanical QA/QC, Mechanical Engineer, or Quality role within Building Services / M&E.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installations, and commissioning processes.
• Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or Data Centre projects desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and handover documentation.
• Full driving licence desirable.
