Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee mechanical building services installation, commissioning, and maintenance in Bristol. The role reports to the Project/Contracts Manager and involves daily liaison with suppliers, Site Supervisors, Project Managers, EHSQ Advisors and Subcontractors.

Main Duties

  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical building services.
  • Ensure all relevant permits are in place.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Liaise with main contractors and the client-based site team.
  • Ensure on-site delivery and compliance of EHSQ, RAMS, PPE etc.
  • Coordinate plant hire, tools, and labour on-site.
  • Oversee and manage labour and subcontractors.
  • Manage relevant external correspondence.
  • Order all day-to-day site materials.
  • Update appropriate information to progress reports.
  • Maintain K&M Document Management System.
  • Manage project-specific scheduling.
  • Communicate changes to the Project team.
  • Maintain project quality reporting and monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Relevant trade qualifications in mechanical building services or equivalent further education.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
  • Previous experience in a Mechanical Supervisor/Manager or similar role.
  • People management experience.
  • Project Management experience beneficial.
  • Computer literate with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to do some travel if/when required.
