We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist contractor in the building envelope sector who is looking to appoint a Field Quality Technician to strengthen their site-based quality assurance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects across the UK and Europe, supporting the delivery of complex roofing, cladding, curtain walling, and façade packages. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a passion for quality, and thrive in a fast-paced site environment — this could be the role for you.
The Role:- Conducting regular inspections across live sites to assess quality of installation
- Reviewing hold points, first-off installations, and sample areas
- Identifying and helping resolve non-conformances early in the process
- Supporting project teams in rolling out QA processes and improving site standards
- Completing detailed audit reports and uploading documentation (e.g., via Procore)
- Communicating findings clearly to site teams and management
- Attending quality meetings and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaising with the company’s Quality Manager and wider project teams
Essential:
- 5–10 years’ experience in roofing, façades, or building envelope systems
- Strong practical knowledge of QA/QC procedures and site-based construction standards
- Experience auditing or inspecting roofing, curtain walling, cladding, and rainscreen works
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and keen eye for detail
- Flexibility to travel regularly to sites across Europe
Desirable:
- Familiarity with tools such as Procore, Field View, or BIM 360
- Quality-related certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Auditor, CQI)
- Valid Safe Pass or equivalent site accreditation
- Work on large-scale, technically challenging projects across Europe
