As our founding Assistant Showroom Manager at Lakeside, you will work closely alongside the Showroom Manager to bring this showroom to life, build a high-performing team from the ground up, and deliver the premium King Living customer experience from the very first day of trading.
You will lead with confidence when the Showroom Manager is away, contribute commercially every day when they are present, and bring the kind of energy, reliability and customer obsession that a new showroom needs to hit the ground running.

- Sales Performance \& Customer Experience
Inspire your team to perform at their best — delivering warm, consultative experiences that build lasting relationships and turn genuine interest into confident purchasing decisions.
Team Leadership \& Development
Support the Showroom Manager in building the Lakeside team from day one — coaching, motivating and developing team members to consistently perform at a high standard.
Showroom Operations \& Brand Standards
Assist in the day-to-day running of the showroom — managing operational standards, maintaining accurate pricing and product information, and ensuring every corner of Lakeside reflects the design leadership and quality King Living is known for.
Acting Showroom Manager
Lead the floor with full confidence in the Showroom Manager's absence — making decisions, setting the tone, and holding the standard.
Who You Are
- Proven experience in a retail leadership or senior sales role within a premium or luxury environment
- Customer-obsessed — you build trust, inspire confidence, and create experiences customers remember
- A natural coach and team player — you make the people around you better
- Commercially aware with an understanding of targets, budgets and showroom performance
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable — available to work one weekend day as part of your regular roster
- Experience in furniture, textiles or interior design is highly regarded
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable across retail systems
