This is an office-based role so you must live within a daily commutable distance to Avonmouth, Bristol. King Lifting provides safe, expert crane hire, bespoke contract lifting and plant machinery movement, plus transport and storage, for the public and private sectors. We work throughout the UK and Europe and are head-quartered in Bristol where we also run a renowned Training Centre.
We are currently seeking a new and experienced Hire Desk Manager for our Avonmouth office. This is an exciting opportunity with lots of scope for individuality, continuous improvement and achievement when presented with numerous challenges. This will be a very busy and challenging role so we are looking for a confident individual who can thrive under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
Duties will include:
- Allocation of our assets (cranes, labour and accessory equipment) with the support of the Hire Desk Assistant to ensure optimum utilisation is achieved.
- Raising contracts, job sheets, operator tickets and inputting customer timesheets.
- Organising site visits for our technical representatives and daily sales calls to customers.
- Dealing with local authorities, traffic management companies managing road closures and permits.
- Chasing debtors and overdue payments.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant experience within a similar role preferably gained within the crane or plant hire industry.
- Operational understanding of cranes, transport or hire desk.
- People management experience.
- Confident with excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Prioritisation and the ability to work under pressure.
