Based in Southampton, covering the South of the UK. King Lifting provides safe, expert crane hire, bespoke contract lifting and plant machinery movement working throughout many different sectors which require heavy lifting expertise. We are seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to drive growth and strengthen relationships with both existing and prospective clients. This role involves managing major projects and framework agreements within a defined territory, with a focus on meeting revenue targets and delivering profitable growth. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this opportunity is ideal for someone with proven sales experience, preferably from the crane, plant hire, or construction industries, who is ready for a new challenge and career progression. This is a fast-paced, rewarding role offering the chance to demonstrate your sales expertise and industry knowledge while achieving strong results and job satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Grow revenue by developing existing accounts and generating new business
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of contacts and opportunities
  • Respond to internal sales leads and convert them into business
  • Meet or exceed appointment and meeting targets aligned with KPIs
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals within pricing guidelines
  • Negotiate contracts and framework agreements within set parameters

The ideal person will have:

  • A minimum 2 years of proven and successful sales experience
  • A strong educational background
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
  • The ability to manage a demanding workload and perform under pressure
  • Professional presentation and confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Sales experience within the crane, plant hire, or construction industries is highly desirable!

Location & Flexibility:

This is a full-time, field-based role covering the South of the UK with regular travel to client sites and Company offices. Your office work will be completed from our Southampton office based in Marchwood or from your home office. Core business hours are 8:00am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday, however, flexibility and commitment is required for times when you need to work over and above these hours and for occasional evening or weekend work due to client events and overnight stays.
