HGV TRUCK & TRAILER TECHNICIAN Location: Job Type: Full-time, Permanent King Lifting provides crane hire services to the construction industry along with plant and machinery movement solutions, operating from depots across the UK. We are seeking an experienced and motivated HGV Truck & Trailer Technician to join our busy workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, diagnosis and repair of HGV vehicles and trailers, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and to DVSA standards. The ideal candidate be a reliable, safety-conscious professional who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship. There is a need for them to be flexible as out of hours working will be required. Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV trucks and trailers. Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults. Complete vehicle inspections, MOT preparations and preventative maintenance checks. Conduct brake testing and suspension repairs. Accurately complete job cards, inspection sheets and maintenance records. Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations and DVSA standards. Proven experience as an HGV Technician, Trailer Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician. Relevant qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent). Good understanding of HGV and trailer braking systems. Full UK Driving Licence.
