We are seeking an experienced Hire Desk Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations and ensure the efficient running of our Bristol hire desk.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily allocation of assets and labour.
- Manage inbound telephone enquiries, ensuring all customer requests are handled promptly and professionally.
- Liaise with operatives to ensure all necessary information is provided ahead of works commencing.
- Prepare and issue contracts, job sheets, and operator tickets.
- Ensure operative training and medical certifications remain current and compliant with company policies.
- Source plant, labour, and equipment from external suppliers when required.
- Communicate with customers to confirm site‑specific requirements prior to attendance.
- Maintain up‑to‑date inspection records for cranes and yard equipment in line with LOLER regulations.
- Manage annual leave requests for operatives and hire desk team members.
