The role involves supporting students in the classroom and in small group settings as part of our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) team. You will play a key part in helping to remove barriers to learning, enabling every student to achieve their full potential.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills as you will need to liaise with staff and students on a daily basis. You will need to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, and flexibility to meet the changing needs of students. Additionally, you will need to present a professional image at all times.

We will also carry out online searches for all candidates who are shortlisted for interview as part of our due diligence. Any successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This post involves direct contact with children and is considered to be a regulated activity. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, so most criminal convictions must be disclosed to us.
This post is paid at Grade 6, spinal column points 7-11. You will be paid for 45.3 weeks per year, which is the equivalent of term time plus one week. The starting salary is £20,203, increasing to £21,534.
