The role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced andenthusiastic Educational Teaching Assistant to join our Special EducationalNeeds and Disabilities (SEND) team. This is a rewarding role, supportingstudents in the classroom and in small group settings. You will play a key partin helping to remove barriers to learning, enabling every student to achievetheir full potential.

You
To be successful inthis role you must have excellent communication skills as you will needto liaise with staff and students, on a daily basis. You willneed to be able to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility to meetthe changing needs of students. In addition, you will also need topresent a professional image at all times.
Safeguarding

The successfulapplicant will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)check. This role involves direct contact with children and is thereforeclassified as regulated activity. In line with this,the post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, andcandidates are required to disclose any relevant criminal convictions.

Salary
Thispost is paid at Grade 6, Spinal Column Points 7-11. You will be paid for 45.3 week per year,which is the equivalent of term time plus one week. The starting salary is £20,840, increasing to£22,244.
