About this Role

The role Weare seeking to appoint an Assistant Caretaker to join our highly effective anddedicated site team. The successful candidate will play a vital role inensuring that our school buildings and grounds remain safe, welcoming and wellmaintained for staff, students and visitors each day.

Workingclosely with the Site Manager and Senior Caretaker, you will take pride inkeeping the site running smoothly. This is a varied role that includesresponsibility for site security, routine maintenance, cleaning oversight andaddressing any defects or repairs that may arise.

Theworking hours are 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, all year round. During term time, the hours will be 10:00 to18:00 Monday to Thursday and 10:00 to 17:30 on a Friday. During school holiday periods the hours willbe 8:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday and 8:00 to 15:30 on a Friday.

You Previousexperience is NOT essential, but you will need general maintenance skills inareas such as painting, plumbing, or general building maintenance, and be keento learn new skills with a professional and positive attitude.

The successfulapplicant will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)check. This role involves direct contact with children and is thereforeclassified as regulated activity.

Salary

This post is paid atGrade 6, spinal column points 7-11. Thestarting salary is Β£27,273, increasing to Β£29,070.
