We are currently seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse to join a well‑established private hospital near Slough. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high‑quality clinical environment supporting leading consultants across a range of surgical specialities. The hospital delivers a broad range of procedures including plastic and cosmetics and other minor surgical procedures. You will play a key role in supporting safe and efficient theatre operations while delivering the highest standards of patient care.

This is an extremely rewarding role for individuals who have experienced a day‑case setting, who enjoy learning and who can work flexibly and productively with others, playing a significant role in every patient’s life changing story. This is a full‑time permanent post but we would be open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part‑time hours opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures including plastics, cosmetics, general surgery and other procedures
  • Preparing theatre and surgical instruments prior to procedures
  • Assisting surgeons during operations while maintaining strict aseptic techniques
  • Ensuring all theatre equipment and instruments are checked and functioning correctly
  • Supporting the wider theatre team to maintain efficient theatre lists
  • Maintaining accurate patient and theatre records
  • Ensuring compliance with clinical governance, infection control, and CQC standards
  • The position might require you to be trained in other areas such as pre and post op, chaperoning patients and being involved in other elements of the patient journey so you have a well‑rounded knowledge of patient pathway.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Previous scrub experience is essential
  • Experience supporting a variety of surgical specialities is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of theatre protocols and infection control standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced private clinical environment
