King Healthcare are currently assisting a private clinic based in Harley Street in their search for a Clinical Trials Co-ordinator. The role involves working alongside Senior Ophthalmic Professors and the Lead Clinical Trials Coordinator coordinating and managing the research trials and projects. It is a role that will involve working in both the Clinical Trials and Research Department.
The Role
In this role, you will assist with organising, initiating and carrying out multiple funded data collection and research projects in one or more of the following areas, amongst others: Early, Intermediate, Late (Dry and Wet) Age-Related Macular Degeneration including Gene Therapy as a treatment option; Wide-Field OCT and Imaging of the Peripheral Vitreoretinal Interface; Diabetic Macular Oedema; Inherited Retinal Dystrophies; Visual Aids; Vitreous Floaters and Opacities. This position has a wide range of responsibilities including collecting data from diagnostic imaging equipment, assisting in setting up new projects, attending annual scientific ophthalmic meetings and producing study reports and scientific publications.
The Candidate
The successful candidate for this role will be an experienced Clinical Trials Co-ordinator ideally within Ophthalmics although all other healthcare environments will be considered with a minimum of 1 year experience. You should be comfortable with writing up academic papers based on research conducted by the clinic. You’ll need to be strong in working with large databases, managing challenges and have excellent time management skills.
Salary and Benefits
The salary on offer for this position is circa £35,000 - £42,000 dependent on experience. In addition, there is a generous employee package consisting of private healthcare and private pension with further details to be discussed at interview.
