Head of Clinical Services
Location: Leicester - Interested in candidates that can commute from Northampton, Nottingham, Cambridge and Peterborough
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
My client is seeking an experienced and clinically credible Head of Clinical Services to provide professional leadership across its clinical services.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious senior nursing leader to join an established independent hospital offering a range of surgical and diagnostic specialities.
The Role
Working closely with the hospital’s operational and medical leadership teams, you will take overall professional leadership responsibility for clinical services, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality patient care.
You will provide leadership and oversight across:
- Theatres
- Outpatients
- Pre-Assessment
- Wider clinical services
The role will have responsibility for maintaining high clinical standards and driving continuous improvement across the hospital. You will play a key role in clinical governance, patient safety, workforce leadership and regulatory compliance, while supporting the effective operational delivery of services.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing visible and effective professional clinical leadership across the hospital
- Leading and developing multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Ensuring consistently high standards of patient care and safety
- Providing leadership across clinical governance and quality improvement
- Supporting and embedding a strong patient safety culture
- Ensuring compliance with CQC and other relevant regulatory requirements
- Working collaboratively with consultants, senior management and operational leaders
- Supporting workforce planning, performance and professional development
- Identifying opportunities to improve clinical quality, patient experience and service delivery
- Balancing strong clinical leadership with effective operational delivery
About You
We are looking for an experienced senior nursing or clinical leader with the credibility and confidence to lead across a diverse range of clinical services.
You will have:
- Current NMC registration
- Significant senior nursing and/or clinical leadership experience
- Experience gained within an acute elective surgical and/or private hospital environment
- Strong experience in clinical governance, quality and patient safety
- A good working knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance
- Experience leading, developing and motivating multidisciplinary teams
- The ability to build strong relationships with consultants and senior stakeholders
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- A proactive and collaborative leadership style
- The ability to combine professional clinical leadership with strong operational delivery
Salary & Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a salary in the region of £60,000 – £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
