Overview
As a Senior Product Analyst on the Player Value team for Candy Crush Saga, you own end-to-end analytics and operational support to deepen understanding of player behavior, run experiments, and drive faster, sharper decisions.
You’ll primarily focus on In-App Purchases while potentially touching early funnel, communications systems, and the in-game economy.
You work across functions to translate data into actionable recommendations, contribute to monetisation and player experience improvements, and scale operational analytics in a live game environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end experimentation lifecycle for your area, from problem formulation to readout and follow-up
- Analyze player behaviour to identify monetisation, retention and experience opportunities
- Translate complex data into clear recommendations and narratives for product, design and leadership
- Support pricing decisions by analysing offers and promotions and their impact
- Help manage the in-game economy by monitoring balance and currency systems
- Define tracking events and metrics for new features and ensure trustworthy instrumentation
- Lead operational work at scale (reporting, observability, data quality, event integrity)
- Build and maintain Looker dashboards and self-service analytics frameworks
- Write robust SQL in Big Query for analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with Developers, PMs and Data Scientists on end-to-end delivery and data model improvements
- Use segmentation and journey mapping to explore questions and uncover insights
- Leverage AI tools (Claude, Chat GPT, Codex) to accelerate analysis and communication
- Support the Analytics craft through knowledge sharing and mentoring junior analysts
- Key requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to derive insights from behavioural or product data
- Strong SQL skills (Big Query preferred) and ability to work independently with large datasets
- Experience owning or contributing to experimentation and A/B testing
- Dashboarding experience in Looker or comparable BI tool
- Experience using data to support product, business or operational decisions
- Clear, concise data visualization and evidence-based recommendations
- Cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Engineering and Data Science
- Genuine independence and initiative in solving ambiguous product problems
- Willingness to take ownership of operational work at scale
- Experience in live-service games or similar fast-moving products is a plus
