Job Role: School Counsellor

Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent

Responsibilities

  • Delivery and implementation of one-to-one counselling sessions.
  • Workshops with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Contribution to meetings of the Pupil Wellbeing Committee.
  • Working with key staff to further the development of Foundationers and other pupils with boarding or emotional needs.
  • Advising key staff on issues relating to mental health, preparing them for meetings and conversations.

King Edward’s School is a co-educational boarding and day 11‑18 school with some 475 pupils, around 30% of whom are full boarders. It is an HMC school with a proud heritage. We offer a rewarding environment and benefits including substantially reduced school fees at King Edward’s, Barrow Hills and Longacre schools, free school lunches, free on‑site parking, use of gym and pool facilities, and competitive rates of pay.
