Are you an organised, friendly and proactive receptionist or administrator who thrives in a busy, people-facing environment? King Edward’s School, Bath is seeking 2 professional and approachable Receptionist & Administrators to play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of our Senior School. This is a varied and rewarding role combining front‑of‑house responsibilities with high‑level administrative support. As the first point of contact for visitors, parents and pupils, you will be central to creating a welcoming and efficient environment, while also supporting a wide range of school activities including events, co‑curricular provision and key operational processes. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will contribute to the vibrant life of the school and help ensure the highest standards of service across our community. Each role is permanent, part‑time, term‑time only: Role A is 8am‑1pm (25 hours per week). Role B is 11am‑5pm (27.5 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high‑quality administrative support across Senior School functions.
  • Supporting the organisation of school events and co‑curricular activities.
  • Delivering a professional reception service, including managing visitors and operating the switchboard.
  • Supporting internal communications and day‑to‑day operational tasks.
  • Assisting with HR administration, admissions coordination and general school processes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience in an administrative and/or customer‑facing role.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Calm, professional and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and telephone systems.
  • Discreet, reliable and committed to high standards of service.
