Description
Zero Hours Contract King Edward's School is seeking a reliable, flexible, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our catering team. The successful candidate will provide afternoon & evening support in a busy and friendly environment, contributing to the smooth running of events, and helping to deliver an excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the set-up, service and clear-down of school events and hospitality functions.
- Serve food and drinks in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
- Assist with basic food preparation and general catering duties when required.
- Help keep kitchen, dining and event areas clean, safe and well presented.
- Follow food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work flexibly as part of the catering team during busy events and service periods.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Friendly, professional and helpful manner.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work flexibly.
- Good team player with a positive attitude.
- Able to follow instructions and work well during busy periods.
- Good communication skills when dealing with staff, pupils and visitors.
- Awareness of food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures.
- Previous catering, hospitality or events experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
