Join our outstanding Outpatients Department within the state-of-the-art Outpatients Centre, a modern clinical hub designed to deliver seamless, high-quality patient journeys. Here, we provide exceptional, personalised care across a diverse range of specialist clinics, minor procedures and diagnostic services, supporting both self-pay and insured patients in a discreet, welcoming environment.
As a Staff Nurse you will ensure the provision of high-quality evidence-based nursing care in a clinical setting, the Staff Nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the care they deliver within the Outpatient department.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the delivery of a consistent, safe service in all aspects of the patient journey whilst demonstrating a culture of customer service.
- Manage care of allocated patients.
- Demonstrate professional awareness and accountability.
- Maintain requirements to ensure success in the Revalidation process.
- Act as a Link Nurse in a designated area reporting to and from meetings/training updates.
- Recognise the needs for DOL’s assessments, mental capacity assessment and ‘simple’ and ‘complex’ safeguarding referrals and highlight any concerns.
- Liaise with the Support Services to ensure all non-clinical needs are met including the cultural, sexual, religious, and any other special needs of the patients.
- Have a working knowledge of emergency policies including cardiac arrest and fire.
- Deputise for the Senior Staff Nurse in their absence.
- Undertake clinical duties in any area that is reasonably requested ensuring that you practice within your professional competencies and abilities.
Key Skills / Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse and NMC PIN required.
- Competent with immunisation training, wound care management and venepuncture.
- Appropriate experience in a Staff Nurse role Outpatients experience.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal presentation skills & report writing.
- Pleasant and cheerful manner, being supportive and approachable.
