How you’ll help us make health happen. As a Lead Nurse in our state‑of‑the‑art Outpatients Department, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional, patient‑centred care across a wide range of specialist clinics. Working within the modern Kantor Medical Centre, you’ll support seamless patient journeys from consultation to treatment, ensuring every individual receives outstanding clinical care in a safe, welcoming, and compassionate environment. You’ll bring clinical expertise, confidence, and leadership to each day — supporting consultants during clinics and minor procedures, guiding junior nursing staff, and helping maintain the high standards of care our hospital is known for. Your ability to make sound clinical decisions, lead by example, and foster a positive, inclusive culture will directly contribute to the wellbeing of our patients and the success of our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence‑based nursing care across outpatient clinics, supporting consultants during consultations, diagnostics and minor procedures.
- Act as a senior clinical resource, providing guidance, decision‑making support and maintaining high standards of documentation, medication safety and NMC compliance.
- Uphold strong infection‑prevention and control practices across all clinical areas.
- Support the coordination of daily clinic operations and contribute to effective rota planning and staffing.
- Mentor, supervise and develop nursing staff while promoting a positive learning environment.
- Oversee safe use of clinical equipment and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
- Communicate professionally with patients, colleagues and consultants to ensure smooth, high‑quality patient care.
- Deputise for senior outpatient leadership when required.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Minimum of 2 years’ post‑registration experience in an outpatient or relevant acute setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, planning, and evaluation skills.
- Experience supporting or leading nursing teams.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, professional approach.
- Confident in medication administration and minor procedure support.
- Strong organisational ability with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of infection control and health & safety standards.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Desirable: Experience within specialist clinics such as Urology, Dermatology, Gynaecology or Plastic Surgery.
