Overview
King Edward VII is seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our dedicated catering team, helping to provide a high-quality, nutritious, and welcoming food service for the users of our School.

Grade 1 - Pts 3 £25,948 per annum, pro rata including the Living Wage Supplement (£13,223 actual salary)
- 22.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
- Permanent contract
- Required ASAP
Key responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of a variety of food and drink.
- Serving students at break and lunch times.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, including daily washing up and working as part of a team to clean all kitchen and service areas.
- Assisting with periodic deep cleaning of food preparation areas.
- Operating an electronic till system and undertake cash handling as and when required.
- Supervision of students in the dining hall.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively with other employees, students, and the wider school community.
- Be reliable, punctual, and presentable.
- Work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative when required.
- Demonstrate an awareness of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene policies.
- Understand the needs of the School in prioritising workload during busy service times.
- Show a willingness to undertake any relevant training provided.
