We are seeking a practical, reliable and proactive Maintenance Operative to join our Estates Team. This role helps ensure that buildings, facilities and grounds are safe, well-maintained and provide an excellent environment for learning.
Responsibilities
- Undertake a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, including general building maintenance, minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating.
- Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests across the site.
- Support compliance activities, including routine health and safety checks, fire safety inspections and maintaining accurate records to help ensure the college meets its statutory obligations.
- Work with a flexible approach within a busy team and contribute to maintaining high standards and excellent service for staff, students and visitors.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Good practical skills with a strong awareness of health and safety.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a busy team.
- Experience in maintenance or caretaking is desirable.
- Willingness to develop skills within a supportive educational environment.

Working Hours and Salary
