This is an important role within our pastoral provision, supporting pupils who may be experiencing barriers to successful engagement with learning. Experience of supporting young people with behavioural, emotional, social or pastoral needs will be important, alongside a strong commitment to inclusion and the belief that every pupil can make positive choices and succeed.

You will share our academy values and be bold in addressing barriers to learning and advocating for pupils, ambitious for what every young person can achieve, collaborative in working with colleagues, families and external professionals, and above all kind in the relationships you build and the support you provide.

King Edward VI Balaam Wood Academy is a dynamic and forward-thinking school where pupils know that staff have high expectations of them and want them to succeed.
