Working Hours: Mon-Thurs 10am to 6pm, Friday 10:30am to 6pm, 37 hours per week with 30-minutes unpaid for lunch each day.
Are you a practical, reliable individual looking to make a real difference in a vibrant secondary school setting? The King Edmund School is seeking a full-time Caretaker to join our dedicated team. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our premises are safe, secure and welcoming for our students, staff and visitors. From site security and maintenance to health & safety checks and supporting school events, you’ll be at the heart of our school community.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong sense of responsibility and reliability
- Basic maintenance skills and a willingness to learn more
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to upholding the ethos of our school
The school offers an extensive support programme, including mentor/buddy system, Initial Teacher Training support for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or for those seeking Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS), a system of twilight training sessions, as well as excellent development opportunities.
