The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Responsibilities include completing a range of Planned Preventive Maintenance Tasks and Inspections. You will be required to complete daily, weekly, monthly and 6 monthly PPM tasks adhering to SFG20 requirements. Complete and document check sheets and reports for each PPM task including daily and weekly system checks across various sites, predominantly in the Midlands area but occasionally outside this.
Ensure effective communication with the client’s site engineering team and King & Moffatt Management. Maintain all electrical plant services to industry standards. Oversee, when required, any subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with risk assessments, method statements, and QHSE permitting. Conduct electrical installations and upgrades in line with BS7671 regulations. Test and inspect electrical systems; issue relevant certification (EICRs, Minor Works Certificates).
Possess technical knowledge of critical environments power, production line assemblies, H&V systems, public address systems, fire alarm works, and emergency lighting. Identify part replacements and obtain quotations for condition maintenance plans. Ensure statutory engineering maintenance documentation is maintained and accessible. Oversee completion of PPMs and Client Service Requests in line with SLA’s. Maintain accurate records of all work completed via digital or paper-based systems.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements and review site SOPs, ERA’s, and scenario training. Adhere to King & Moffat QHSE procedures and implement improvements identified during inspections. Take part in technical training requirements, including competency assessments and scenario training exercises. Be part of Out of Hours call out rota for site. Directly accountable to the King & Moffatt FM Management team. No direct budgetary responsibility but requires financial awareness.
Compiling RAMS for all projects and ensuring adherence to RAMS and task specific SPAs. Actively participate in the promotion of a positive health, safety, quality and environmentally conscious culture across the project. Conduct site inspections. Report on the EHSQ performance of project teams and subcontractors and make recommendations to ensure safe working conditions to EHSQ Manager. Review all EHSQ related documentation submitted by contractors and sub-contractors. Collate accident statistics and undertake trend analysis if relevant. Maintain flexibility in service delivery with the client.
Person Specification: Strong experience in maintenance and PPM regimes to SFG20. Proficiency in PC and MS Office applications. Recognized 3rd Level Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar. Excellent fault diagnosis skills. Experience with BMS Controls and HVAC systems. Good technical knowledge and the ability to project manage and multitask. Ability to work to high standards against agreed timescales with minimal supervision. Knowledge of emergency response, standby, and call-out activities and protocols. Experience with UPS, standby power, lifts, boilers, and HVAC systems. Experience with electrical systems, switchgear, and earthing systems (LV & HV).
Eligibility to become a company SAP for LV systems. Qualifications: Full UK Driving Licence. City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671). 2391/2394/2395 Testing & Inspection qualification desirable but not essential. Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in a mobile role. Strong fault-finding skills and knowledge of commercial electrical systems. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desirable: Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS). Knowledge of additional building services (HVAC, plumbing, etc.). IPAF, PASMA, or ECS Card.
