We are seeking a proactive

HIL Configuration Engineer to own the setup, configuration, and maintenance of our d SPACE HIL test benches .

In this role, you will bridge the gap between hardware and software, ensuring our validation environments are robust and ready to test next‑generation embedded control systems (ICE & Electric Powertrain).

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, integrate, and maintain d SPACE HIL systems for ECU validation.
  • Manage signal routing, I/O mapping, interface boards (BOBs, FIUs), and HIL harness design.
  • Integrate real‑time plant models (powertrain, e‑motors, vehicle dynamics) using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Set up automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN) and calibration tools (Control Desk, INCA, CANalyzer).
  • Diagnose complex hardware/software integration issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Develop Python/MATLAB configuration scripts for bench automation and maintain technical documentation.

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or similar.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with d SPACE HIL systems.
  • Solid knowledge of automotive E/E systems, electrical schematics, PCBs, and lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Soldering).
  • Experience with fault injection, failure mode testing, and defect logging/analysis.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and version control (Git/SVN).
  • Strong analytical mindset, proactive problem‑solving, and excellent communication in English.
