We are expanding our Automotive Engineering team to support vehicle-level validation activities for high-profile mobility and propulsion system programs. This role is focused purely on in-vehicle validation, ensuring that integrated systems perform correctly, robustly, and safely under real-world conditions. You will act as the key link between development, system validation, and vehicle testing teams. This position emphasizes hands-on vehicle testing, issue investigation, and validation sign-off at the full vehicle level.
Responsibilities
- Execute vehicle-level functional, non-functional, and regression testing of integrated propulsion and control systems.
- Validate system behavior across different driving scenarios, environmental conditions, and vehicle states.
- Support test drives, proving ground activities, and customer-specific validation campaigns.
- Perform validation primarily in vehicle environments, with limited interaction with bench or HIL setups for issue reproduction.
- Ensure correct vehicle instrumentation, data logging, and test readiness prior to execution.
- Analyze vehicle-reported anomalies using logs, traces, and measurements.
- Reproduce issues in vehicle or bench environments and collaborate with system and software teams for root cause analysis.
- Manage defect lifecycle through tracking tools and ensure timely resolution before validation milestones.
- Document test procedures, results, and validation evidence clearly and consistently.
- Support ASPICE and ISO 26262 compliance by providing vehicle-level validation artifacts.
- Participate in reviews, audits, and readiness assessments.
Testing Environments
- Primary: Vehicle (road testing, proving grounds, customer sites)
- Secondary: Test Bench / HIL (for issue reproduction and verification support)
Skills And Experience
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of automotive vehicle validation or vehicle testing experience; ETAS INCA (calibration, measurement – desirable); Vector CANoe (measurement, logging, diagnostics).
- Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architectures and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
- Experience executing structured vehicle test cases and reporting defects Requirements & test management tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jama).
- Full driving license and willingness to perform extensive vehicle-based testing.
Desirable
- Experience with EV or hybrid propulsion systems.
- Exposure to ISO 26262 vehicle validation activities.
- Knowledge of EV charging behavior and vehicle use cases.
