My client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join a growing team working across industrial and commercial environments. This role is ideally suited to qualified electricians with a strong background in industrial installations, maintenance, and fault finding, rather than domestic work. This placement will be between 6 to 12 months.
Package
- Standard rate is £17.98 per hour
- Overtime rate at £26.97 per hour
- Monday to Thursday 08:00 until 16:30
- Friday 08:00 until 13:00
- 25 days holiday increasing year on year
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work within industrial settings
- Diagnose and fault‑find on complex electrical systems and equipment
- Work on control panels, machinery, and industrial distribution systems
- Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant regulations and safety standards
- Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Work collaboratively with engineers, site teams, and supervisor
Requirements
- Fully qualified electrician (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Proven experience in industrial environments (essential)
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with control systems, motors, and industrial equipment
- Knowledge of current electrical regulations (e.g. BS 7671 / 18th Edition)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable
- Experience working on manufacturing, plant, or heavy industrial sites
- Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
- Experience with PLCs or automation systems
