Weekly hours: 07:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 11:00 Friday – 40 hours including 2 x paid breaks. Tenure: Temp to perm.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding mild steel (4mm+) and completing T fillet and MIG weld test on mild steel.
- Building jigs from scratch for production and project builds.
- Working from engineering drawings to fabricate accurate assemblies.
- Welding and assembling vehicle interiors, crushers and large fabricated structures.
- Supporting new product builds, prototypes and bespoke fabrication work.
- Maintaining a safe, organised workshop environment.
Skills and Experience
- Time served or highly experienced MIG Welder.
- Strong jig building and fabrication skills.
- Confident welding 4mm+ mild steel unassisted.
- Ability to work accurately from drawings.
- Experience with vehicle interiors or heavy fabrication is an advantage.
- Good understanding of measurements, angles and fabrication layouts.
