Job Overview

Up to £15.08 per hour + pension, excellent benefits once permanent.

Location: Sheffield, England, Yorkshire & The Humber (commutable from Rotherham, Chesterfield, Worksop, Dronfield).

Type: Permanent.

Details

Weekly hours: 07:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 11:00 Friday – 40 hours including 2 x paid breaks. Tenure: Temp to perm.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIG welding mild steel (4mm+) and completing T fillet and MIG weld test on mild steel.
  • Building jigs from scratch for production and project builds.
  • Working from engineering drawings to fabricate accurate assemblies.
  • Welding and assembling vehicle interiors, crushers and large fabricated structures.
  • Supporting new product builds, prototypes and bespoke fabrication work.
  • Maintaining a safe, organised workshop environment.

Skills and Experience

  • Time served or highly experienced MIG Welder.
  • Strong jig building and fabrication skills.
  • Confident welding 4mm+ mild steel unassisted.
  • Ability to work accurately from drawings.
  • Experience with vehicle interiors or heavy fabrication is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of measurements, angles and fabrication layouts.
