Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician for a client based in Wallsend on a permanent contract. As Maintenance Technician you will work as part of a team to ensure all plant and machinery is available and reliable on site, tending to breakdowns in a fast and efficient manner to minimise downtime.

Main responsibilities:

• Carry out planned maintenance to the required standard.
• Carry out reactive maintenance when required.
• Coordinate and cooperate with production supervision on a day‑to‑day basis to ensure the smooth running and availability of plant and equipment.
• Continuously promote best H&S practice.
• Proactively help reduce function accident statistics.

Shift pattern: 2 shift (Week 1 6am-2pm / Week 2 2pm-10pm)

Skills and Experience:

• Mechanical or Electrical qualification HNC or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a maintenance role within heavy engineering/manufacturing in a fast‑paced environment.
• PLC experience is an advantage.
