About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced and detail‑oriented Electrical Technicians on behalf of a leading client in the Oil & Gas sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled panel builders looking for a secure, long‑term temporary contract. You will play a key role in assembling, wiring, and testing specialised control panels engineered for high‑spec energy and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Control Panel Building: Point‑to‑point wiring, assembly, and integration of control panels to exact client specs and safety standards.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and layout diagrams accurately.
- Component Installation: Fit relays, PLCs, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, and associated hardware.
- Testing & Inspection: Carry out initial electrical inspections, continuity checks, and fault‑finding prior to testing.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work adheres strictly to Oil & Gas industry compliance, safety regulations, and quality controls.
What We Are Looking For
- Relevant Experience: Proven experience as an Electrical Technician with a strong background in control panel building.
- Industry Background: Previous experience within Oil & Gas, subsea or heavy engineering is highly desirable.
- Qualifications: Relevant recognised electrical qualification, NVQ or City and Guilds with working experience.
- Flexibility: Initially working on a dayshift pattern, but must be willing and flexible to transition onto a day/night shift rotation as project demands increase in a few months.
