We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder to fabricate custom steel components and pipework from dimensionally broken‑down drawings, focusing on precision, quality and structural integrity.
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, England, East Midlands
Job Type: Temporary (possible path to permanent after 18 weeks)
Pay: £15.50 per hour (£33,449 annual)
Hours: 6:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday (30 min paid break, 30 min unpaid lunch) and 6:30 am to 12:30 am Friday (30 min paid break)
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate bespoke one‑off components including box sections, cubes and angled assemblies (typically 90° and 90°).
- Interpret simplified technical drawings provided by supervisors, ensuring accurate dimensional execution.
- Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel pipework.
- Assemble and weld complex structures with tight tolerances and clean finishes.
- Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to ensure fabrication aligns with project specifications.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance, safety and compliance throughout all stages.
