Temporary Mechanical Fitter – 37 hours per week, 2‑shift pattern, £22.16 per hour (PAYE), long‑term contract.
Kinetic Recruitment are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters for long‑term contracts with a well‑established engineering company in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The Role
- Perform mechanical fitting and assembly activities using hand and machine tools working to fine tolerances.
- Check finished work in accordance with required standards using relevant measuring equipment.
- Maintain tooling, components, machine and working environment in a clean and orderly state.
- Carry out first line maintenance in line with training.
- Maintain documentation in line with requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Time served in a recognised engineering discipline (Mechanical).
- Experience using mechanical measuring and inspection equipment (micrometers etc).
- Previous Mechanical Fitting experience is essential.
Working hours
- 2‑shift pattern
- Week 1: Monday – Friday 7.09 am – 2.36 pm
- Week 2: Monday – Thursday 2.30 pm – 10.00 pm / Friday 2.10 pm – 8.55 pm
