The predicted salary is between 11 - 15 £ per hour.

Up to £14.80 per hour + Pension and 33 days holiday. Location: Leeds, England, Yorkshire & The Humber. Permanent (Temp-to-Perm 26 weeks, moving to Morley in 2026). Experienced Goods In Despatch Operative WITH A DRIVING LICENSE required for busy engineering and steel handling workshop in Leeds. 4‑day working week Monday to Thursday! Order books are very busy and more projects are coming in daily.

Benefits: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, pension.

Working hours: Monday–Thursday, 07:00–17:30 (42 paid hours, breaks included).

About the Role: Join an established engineering company manufacturing complex pipe work; you will handle goods in/out, despatch, stock control and prepare finished products for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Booking in and checking materials using computer systems
  • Loading/unloading vehicles and manual handling
  • Stock taking and basic inspection of goods
  • Packing and preparing pipe spools for dispatch
  • Driving company vehicle for collections/deliveries
  • General workshop duties (cleaning, tidying, occasional painting)

Skills & Experience required:

  • Full UK driving licence – essential
  • Basic computer skills (additional training provided)
  • Physically fit with good communication skills due to lots of lifting to deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Extras (but not essential):

  • Combi or overhead crane licence – a bonus
  • Overtime available Fridays at time and a half
  • FLT counterbalance licence desirable (training available)
  • Knowledge of pipes/pipe fittings advantageous

Pay: £14.80 per hour + overtime (time and a half £22.20).
