Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a long-term contract in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our client is a well-known engineering company with operations worldwide. This position will initially start on a dayshift but will eventually lead on to a 3 shift pattern once the successful candidate settles in.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience of machine tools
- Formal apprenticeship/5+ years engineering experience
- Working in a machine tool environment preferred
- Mechatronics/cross discipline trained
- Competent with computing, spreadsheets, word documents, etc.
- Basic understanding of induction motors
- Knowledge of the operation of relays/contactors/electro-mechanical valves/pumps, etc.
- Experience with the use of test equipment
- Understands advanced electrical drawings
- Understands basic hydraulic drawings
- Understands basic pneumatic drawings
- Experience with Siemens 840D/Dsl
- Familiarity with Siemens 840D/Dsl advanced diagnostic, PLC variables, drive set up
- Familiarity with Siemens S7 PLC diagnostic and editing
- Familiarity with Siemens analogue and digital drives
