Kinetic PLC is assisting an established engineering company in Glossop to recruit a Packing Operative who holds a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) licence. The role involves both packing and FLT duties in a busy dispatch area.
Responsibilities:
- Using the FLT to load and unload
- Packing of high value components from the work order provided
- Labelling the components and placing in the appropriate boxes
- Working in an engineering environment
- Preparing orders for dispatch, making sure of traceability at every step
- Completing shipping documents
- Maintaining a clean working environment
- Using computers to book items off the systems
Qualifications & Requirements:
- FLT Licence – Counter Balance a must for this role as you will be working on and off the truck
- Ability to work methodically and accurately
- Experience of working within an Engineering environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Computer literate
- Comfortable with lifting components of varying weight
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to get to Glossop with ease
