Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for your next permanent position? Is Cardiff docks an area you can easily commute to work? Duties:
- Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding, and deal with machine down-time efficiency.
- Action repairs and ensure that all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised.
- Electrical and mechanical proactive and reactive maintenance.
- Provide assistance in troubleshooting and identification of equipment problems.
- Maintain relationships with production operators to foster a good team environment when working on the equipment.
- Write SOPs and other technical documents in support of the engineering department as well as the end users.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices.
Skills required:
- Apprentice trained engineer.
- Experienced shift engineer in a high-volume continuous production manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical capability with mechanical engineering pedigree (familiar with pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical systems) with basic level of competence in electrical systems and control.
- High competence in workshop skills.
- Ability to work at height (IPAF trained).
