Our client, based in the Trafford area, is a precision engineering company which is looking to expand its team by appointing a TIG Welder on a permanent basis.

Salary: £30,000 per annum (£15.60/hr PAYE).

Location: Trafford.

Working hours: 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday.

Shifts: 6:00am – 3:45pm, 6:30am – 4:15pm or 7:00am – 4:45pm (37 hours per week).

Duties:

  • TIG welding of SS and exotic metals.
  • Soldering, brazing and other required duties.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand specifications of components and assemblies.
  • Use inspection equipment to monitor quality of produced components.
  • Complete paperwork as per the company quality system.
  • Ensure all products manufactured and assembled meet quality standards.
  • Flexible working within other manufacturing areas to meet workload demands.

Experience required:

  • Minimum 5 years working as a TIG welder.
  • Relevant experience or time served in TIG welding.
  • Mechanical engineering problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering units, thread sizes, flanges, pipe fittings, etc. is an advantage.
  • Must be flexible to move to different areas and perform tasks other than welding when needed.
