Kinetic are supporting a global manufacturer based in Altrincham with the recruitment of an Assembly Operative. With over 150 years of heritage, the company has built a strong reputation within the instrumentation and manufacturing sector. They are looking for someone who is eager to learn, develop practical skills, and build a long‑term career within manufacturing. Full training will be provided, so a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key. This is a permanent opportunity from day one, working across all aspects of assembly and production.

Role

  • Carrying out hands‑on production tasks as directed
  • Supporting general manufacturing activities across the site
  • Helping improve quality and efficiency, raising any issues
  • Checking finished parts to ensure they meet required standards
  • Following all Quality and Health & Safety guidelines, keeping the work area clean
  • Assisting with training where needed
  • Following company processes and procedures at all times
  • Completing job paperwork accurately
  • Meeting deadlines and keeping records up to date
  • Reporting any maintenance issues
  • Recording any damaged or scrap parts correctly
  • Taking on additional tasks when required

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical or technical understanding (or a strong willingness to learn)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow processes and complete documentation accurately
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Details

  • Monday to Thursday (Fridays off)
  • 9.25‑hour shifts with flexible start times (6:00am, 6:30am or 7:00am)
  • £25,000 + DOE
  • 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
