About the Role:
As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of vital utility equipment. Based in the UK, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team and will have the opportunity to make an impact both locally and internationally. This role offers a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, plant improvements, and troubleshooting, all while adhering to strict health and safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on refrigeration and utility equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on-site
- Record equipment history and maintain quality documentation
- Provide detailed handovers to team members
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and GMP regulations at all times
- Manage contractors and ensure adherence to site procedures
- Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute ideas for equipment reliability
Qualifications:
- F-GAS 2079 CAT 1 certification
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Refrigeration or equivalent qualification
Required Skills:
- Solid experience within the refrigeration service industry
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Mechanical or electro-engineering qualifications (preferred)
- Experience in utilities systems (boilers, HVAC, compressors) is advantageous
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical engineering and freeze dryer systems is a bonus
- Proactive, results-oriented attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
Package:
- Competitive salary up to Β£75K based on experience
- Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:30-17:00), Friday (08:30-14:30)
- 4x Death in Service insurance after 6 months
- Health scheme membership after 6 months
