About the Company: We are looking for an expert in assay development who has experience working in the contract research, precision medicine or companion diagnostics industry. This is a fully site-based role within a newly formed team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical input to guide product strategy and early-stage concept development.
  • Lead scientific direction for projects and define clear project pathways.
  • Establish best practices for engaging and managing Pharma partnerships.
  • Review and approve technical project outputs, ensuring scientific rigour.
  • Mentor and support R&D teams across multiple projects.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in developing assays for external businesses/teams.
  • Experience collaborating with and managing external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of FDA and BSI regulatory requirements.
  • Strong mentoring ability and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex scientific challenges, building professional networks, or managing technical project activities would be an advantage.
